Sustainability is an integral part of our operations at every stage – from responsible design and material selection to efficient production, recycling and furniture waste management. We create furniture that not only lasts but also contributes to environmental conservation. Our goal is for every solution to be friendly to both people and nature.
We are an FSC®-certified furniture manufacturer – this means that the wood used in our furniture production comes from responsibly managed forests. This certification confirms our commitment to the highest environmental and social responsibility standards throughout the entire supply chain. By choosing furniture made from FSC-certified materials, our clients actively contribute to forest protection and the promotion of sustainable production.
Ergolain’s furniture production is certified according to the ISO 9001:2015 quality management standard.
ISO 9001 is an international quality management system (QMS) standard that sets requirements for organisations’ quality management processes. It helps companies ensure continuous improvement of product and service quality, increase customer satisfaction and optimise business processes.
We design minimalist, functional furniture guided by the “less is more” principle. Our product development team chooses sustainable materials for standard products – such as natural wool fabrics or recycled materials from PET bottles. At the same time, our sales and project management teams prioritise sustainable solutions, offering clients environmentally friendly alternatives at every stage of the project.
Our standard furniture is made from laminated particle boards that comply with the E0.5 formaldehyde emission standard, ensuring very low emissions and a healthier indoor environment. For soft furnishings, we select sustainable fabrics such as 100% recycled polyester or OEKO-TEX® certified textiles. We also provide fabrics created from textile waste and wool remnants, helping to cut water, energy and CO₂ usage.
Our production processes are based on a certified Lean management system, enabling us to optimise operations and ensure efficient manufacturing and service delivery with minimal costs. We hold ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and FSC® certifications, which confirm quality, safety and responsible sourcing of materials. We also generate energy from a 299.93 kW solar power plant.
We responsibly collect unused furniture and production leftovers and hand them over to recycling companies, contributing to the implementation of circular economy principles. Since 2019 we have been participating in the unified Product, Packaging and Waste Accounting Information System (GPAIS) and consistently declare our waste in accordance with all applicable requirements.
The materials most often sent for recycling are plastic, cardboard, all wood-based products (furniture panels, solid wood, etc.) and metal. All furniture produced in our factory is packaged using easily recyclable materials that can be responsibly sorted after unpacking. By collaborating with sustainable waste recycling companies, we’re proud that unused and surplus materials become new products, which later return to us as raw materials for furniture production.
