This collection of upholstered furniture was created by architect Rytis Mikulionis, who does not draw a strict line between architecture and design in his creative process: “I am always interested in where architecture ends and design begins, and how these two areas inspire and complement each other.” This is reflected in the shape of Boxy itself – a strict, rectangular silhouette resembles an architectural object in space.
The author of the design idea, architect Rytis Mikulionis, says that Boxy furniture is functional and creates a memorable visual effect. “From a distance, it seems that a person is sitting in a piece of furniture that seems to have risen from the ground,” says R. Mikulionis. According to the architect, the “Boxy” pieces, which “hang” in the air, are most revealed in spacious office or public spaces.
This collection of upholstered furniture stands out for its acoustic comfort – as soon as you sit down, you can feel the suppression of external noise. This furniture is a great choice for those who want to concentrate on tasks that require attention, talk on the phone without being disturbed, or simply relax away from external noise.
The Boxy collection consists of single-seater soft benches and two-seater sofas. The collection is complemented by soft, silicone-filled cushions with easily removable covers – they not only increase seating comfort, but also contribute to better acoustics, especially when choosing Wooly fabric made from recycled wool.
